PS3 SOCOM TITLES!!

Its here, what we have all been waiting for!  SOCOM's next instalment is comming.  Here is what I have been able to find out so far.

SOCOM CONFRONTATION.  The first instalment of the series for the PS3.  You might be surprized how Sony, and developing new comer, Vancouver based Slant Six are taking the title.  CONFRONTATION will be a down loadable game.  It will also be released on a blue ray disc in traditional retail packages.  There not syaing much about game play, and content though.  They are aiming for a 06/15/08 release.  It will have zero single player...  ITS ONLINE ONLY!  This game will be fun in the time we wait for SOCOM 4.  Developed by the daddy of all SOCOM games.  these guys are the originals.  I have been able to get limited information on this one.  Toward the bottom of the page you will see the assumed cover art for SOCOM 4.  Click on the image to see the first trailer of gameplay, and story art video.  If you have any cool links, or information about these games contact me in the FORUMS and Ill post it.  this is the most updated information I have found on the web.  Condenced nice and neat for SOCOM fans.

CONFRONTACTION/ SLANT SIX

You know why CROSSROADS never came out?  ITS IN HERE!!!!!

here is some more general info: 

-Youll be able to customize your character and pick from multi national special forces teams.  Clans will get to futher trick out uniforms to create a unique visual identity.  Among other things, in the playstation store you can purchase new game modes, specail forces,weapons, so on ect...  Sony promises full disclosure at E3 in JULY 07! 

-Vehicles are out, however they may see a return in the form of future downloads!

-CONFRONTATION will ship with 5 maps located in North Africa, future downloadable content will feature other areas of operation!

-Game will be supported with regular online content packs including, new themes, modes,equiptment, and options.  (Dont exspect it to be free.)

-Clan Support including clan ladders, leader boards, tournements, and more...

-I was worried about the NEW over the shoulder veiw in the trailer.  They are making both the NEW over the shoulder view, as well as the CLASSIC socom view.  If thats the truth, I would love it (CLASSIC).

-When you shoot your gun, shell casing will stay on the floor.  Through kicking shells from running hard through them, you can hear the player in the next room moving around.  Not sure how that will work but surround sound would be a great tool if thats the case.

-Through more enhanced audio features you will better hear a gun fight around the corner.  It sound like your sence of sound will come in handy in this game. 

-New Features:  you will be able to customize the look of your character from head to toe.  Clan leaders will be able to set up a basic uniforms.  While clan members can adjust them to stand out while being "In Uniform." 

RELEASE DATE:  SOCOM CONFRONTATION comes out 06/15/08 they say.  So maybee we will see it before Christmas.  This game is slant six's first atempt at the title.   What do you think will happen?
